South Dunes Power Plant

The South Dunes Power Plant is an associated facility of the Jordan Cove Energy Project. Its primary purpose is to provide power to operate the Jordan Cove LNG Plant but it also has the capability of providing power to the local electric grid.

The South Dunes Power Plant will be located on the former Weyerhaeuser Paper Mill site located on the North Spit of Coos Bay adjacent to the Jordan Cove LNG Plant.

  • Base Load Capacity - 350 Megawatts
  • Peaking Capacity - 420 Megawatts

The siting of the South Dunes Power Plant falls under the authority of the Oregon Energy Facility Siting Council (EFSC).
