Energy Facilities Siting Council (OEFSC) – The lead Oregon state agency responsible for the issuance of a Site Certificate, a requirement needed to construction an energy facility. www.energy.state.or.us/siting/announce.htm
Department of Environment Quality (DEQ) - The Oregon state agency responsible for implementation of federal air, water and solid waste regulations. www.deq.state.or.us

Federal Agencies

Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is the lead federal agency responsible for the siting of LNG import facilities. Their website provides access to the federal permitting process of all onshore U.S. LNG facilities being developed. http://www.ferc.gov/
U.S. Coast Guard – The Coast Guard is responsible for approving LNG vessel movement plans and the siting of off-shore LNG terminals. http://www.uscg.mil
U.S. Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) – The USACE is responsible for approval of the installation of berths and moorings in navigable U.S. waters as well as the approval of dredging plans necessary to maintain channel and berth depths. http://www.usace.army.mil
U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD) – Now under the Department of Homeland Security, is responsible for security at the nation’s ports. http://www.marad.dot.gov
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service – A division of the Department of Interior is responsible for the protection of threatened and endangered species. http://www.fws.gov
